Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas former Partner Ashish Jejurkar has joined Japanese law firm Atsumi & Sakai. He has joined the firm as an Of Counsel. Jejurkar had resigned from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in December 2016 to move to Japan with his family. He was part of the firm’s General Corporate team with focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (including Public M&A), Private Equity, Regulatory and Restructuring. Ashish completed his LLM from the University of Mumbai, and is also a qualified solicitor. He has previously worked at Luthra & Luthra and Little & Co.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Phoenix Mills have formed a strategic investment platform to develop, own and operate retail-led mixed-use developments across the country. CPPIB will initially own 30 per cent of the platform with an equity commitment of around Rs 724 crore. Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Everstone Group’s industrial and logistics real estate development platform, IndoSpace, have formed a joint venture named IndoSpace Core to acquire and develop modern logistics facilities in India, reported Mint.
